Phuket Country Club, located between Patong and Phuket Town, claims to be the
first international standard course in the region. Its 27 holes are divided
into two courses, both designed by the famous Thai course designer, Dr Sukitti
Klangvishai. Unique feature of the very popular 18 hole Old Course opened in
1989, is the incorporation of three distinct environments: six holes in rolling
hills, six on the level and six through landscaped forest. The new 9 hole, par
37 Country Club Course is a little bit more challenging, as water comes into
play at every hole, penalizing wayward shots. Probably more than any course

Opened: 1995
Holes: 18
Par 72 with total Yardage of 7019 sqm
Thai Muang Beach golf Course, created by Perry Dye, is the only championship
course along the Andaman Sea coast and one of Thailand's few links type of course.
It is located in Phang Nga, just behind Sarasin Bridge from Phuket Island and
some 40 minutes drive from Phuket International Airport or 75 minutes from Patong
Beach. Thai Muang Beach occupies a scenic location with mountains and forested
hills on one side and the sparkling blue waters of the Andaman sea on the other.
With its combination of a sandy shoreline studded with mature trees, lagoons,
ponds, creeks and the sea itself, the site is impressive and the play challenging.
Twelve holes feature water carries and water comes into play on another four
holes. Signature hole seventeen, nicknamed "The Lady" plays along
a narrow peninsular, while "The Gem" is a spectacular 485 yard finishing
hole running parallel to the sea coast.
