CANCUN
Cesar Park
Designed by the Aoki corp. of Japan. This course is relatively flat and open with
plenty o challenging shots adjacent to the Maya archaeological ruins, Ruinas del
Rey.
Pok Ta Pok
Designed by Robert Trent Jones J Par 73. Seasoned course with the added challenge
of having to shoot around Maya ruins. Two holes on the ocean. Fairways are bordered
by palm trees.
Huatulco
Tangolunda: Designed by EM. Schjetnan. Dramatic jungle and ocean setting. Said to
be one o the most beautiful public courses in the country.
LOS CABOS
Cabo del Sol
Jack Nicklaus design with five oceanfront holes. Finishing holes resemble
a mix of Pebble Beach and Cypress Point. Site of PGAs 98 Senior Slam. One of a few
courses in the world that combines ocean, desert and mountain views. Cabo Real: Designed
by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Mountain and ocean views, mixed terrain of hills and rolling
Mountainside. The back nine holes parallel the Sea of Cortes.
Cabo San Lucas Country Club
Designed by Roy Dye. Sensational view of the arch at the tip of the peninsula. Rolling
terrain.
Los Cabos golf Club
Nine holes containing 26 acres of flat terrain with deep traps and a lake.
Palmilla
Jack Nicklaus signature course, his first in Latin America. Mountain/desert vertical
play. Challenging arroyos, ancient Suhuaro cacti, and panoramic ocean views from
most holes. An additional nine holes by the ocean are under construction. Site of
PGAs 97 Senior Slam.
Manzanillo
El Tamarindo
Across from Isla de Navidad in the state of Jalisco. Designed by David Fleming. Beautiful
mix of jungle and oceanfront terrain. Dotted with flowers and palm trees. Some holes
on the ocean.
Isla Navidad
Barra de Navidad. Has 27 holes designed by Robert von Hagge. Rolling fairways, lagoons,
and wellplaced bunkers. Some holes on the ocean. Flowers and trees dot the surrounding
areas. Especially beautiful club house. One of Mexico's top rated courses.
La Mantarraya
A seasoned course designed by Pete and Roy Dye. New 18th hole on the ocean. This
course, related to Las Hadas Resort, is rated as one of Mexico's top five courses.
Santiago Country Club
Nine-hole, semi-private course at Club Santiago.
MAZATLAN
Estrella Del Mar
Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. On the road to Isla de la Piedra, a few miles
from the airport. golfers rind the oceanfront layout challenging.
El Cid
Has 18 holes redesigned and nine new holes designed by Lee Trevino. Site of El Cid
Pro-Am. John Jacobs golf School. Palm-lined fairways, lakes, flat terrain.
PUERTO VALLARTA
Los Flamingos
Seasoned course 30 minutes from downtown. Comfortable club house.
Marina Vallarta: Designed by Joe Finger. Par 71. One oceanfront hole on the Bay.
Palm trees, flat layout with rolling terrain near the northern hotel zone.
lxtapa/Zihuatanejo
Palma Real
Seasoned course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Good combination of hilly and
flat terrain, lakes (with alligators!), and clusters of coconut trees.
Marina Ixtapa
Designed by Robert Von Hagge. With undulating greens, palm trees, and water views,
it has bee named by golf Digest as one of Mexico's best courses. One hole on the
bay. Comfortable club house overlooking the marina.
